Account and subscription

Do I need an account to use Kerith?

No. On the welcome screen you can choose Continue with Apple, Continue with Google or Continue without account. Without an account, daily limits are lower and some settings — your faith settings and AI consent — need you to sign in. Buying or restoring Kerith Premium asks you to sign in with Apple first.

How do I restore Kerith Premium on a new iPhone?

Sign in with the same account, open the Kerith Premium screen from More → Settings → Subscription and tap Restore. If Premium still doesn't appear, check that the subscription is active in your iPhone's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, then write to us.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Kerith Premium is billed through your Apple ID, so Apple manages it: open your iPhone's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Kerith and tap Cancel Subscription. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Your data

How do I export my data?

Go to More → Settings → Account → Export my data (available when you're signed in). Kerith creates a download link, valid for one hour, to a JSON file with your profile, journal, chats, sermons, prayers, memorized verses, devotionals and reading plans. To share the notes of a single sermon, open it and tap Share.

How do I delete my account?

Go to More → Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm by typing DELETE. Your data is removed from our main database immediately; copies in file storage, search, subscription and analytics systems are cleaned up shortly after, and in any case within 30 days. Encrypted backups age out on their own schedule, up to 12 months. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription — cancel it in your Apple ID settings as well. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Is my journal used to train AI?

No. We do not use your content to train AI models, and our AI providers don't either under the terms we use them on. See the Privacy Policy and the AI Disclosure.

Using Kerith

Can I turn the AI off?

Yes — AI is opt-in. During setup, the About Kerith's AI screen asks for your consent; Not now sends nothing to AI providers. You can change it any time in More → Settings → Privacy → AI consent. Without consent, AI chat, sermon notes and journal reflections stay off.

Can Kerith's answers be wrong?

Yes. AI can make mistakes, including about Scripture. Check every reference in your Bible and treat answers as a starting point for your own study. If an answer seems wrong or harmful, email a screenshot to support@kerith.app.

Does Kerith work offline?

Reading and searching the Bible works offline with the built-in World English Bible and any translation you've downloaded, and you can read your saved journal, chats, sermons and prayers. New journal entries and prayers are saved on your iPhone and sync when you're back online. AI replies, sermon notes, downloading translations, signing in and purchases need a connection; a message you send offline goes out once you reconnect.

Which Bible translations are available?

The World English Bible is built in. KJV, ASV and YLT can be downloaded in More → Settings → Faith → Translation → Manage translations.
